Oskar Schlemmer Triadisches Ballett 1926
As director of stage research and production at the Bauhaus Schlemmer created a provocative series of robotic ballets. Until he left the school in 1928 his art can be seen as a manifesto for a robot society, as it mocks the late-Romantic individualism of German painters and the political fantasy of machine communism in the wake of the Russian revolution.
