Last Year (88 Color Charts) präsentiert eine Reihe von gemalten Farbkarten in einer Diashow. Über den Verlauf eines Jahres entstehen bei der Arbeit im Atelier immer wieder Farbproben auf Malkarton. Am Ende werden die Referenzstücke nach Farben sortiert und ins Archiv gelegt. Dabei fällt auf, dass Tertiärfarben, welche durch Mischen von Primärfarben mit benachbarten Sekundärfarben entstehen, sich gut eignen mit angrenzenden Farben eine Beziehung einzugehen. Eine Farbkarte knüpft an die folgende an – von Grün nach Rot und weiter in der Reihe. Jede Farbe ist aus vielen gemischt, in Abfolge mit einer weiteren Farbe entfalten sich ihre Eigenheiten. Zu jedem Ton findet sich ein Anhaltspunkt: Gold, Blond, Olive aus Eisenoxidrot und Grünerde oder Schlechtes Gewissen aus dem Farbfächer der Firma Adler Lacke.

Last Year (88 Color Charts) presents a series of painted color charts in a slide show. Working in the studio over the course of a year, samples of paint are repeatedly applied to cardboard. At the end, the reference pieces are sorted by color and put into the archive. What becomes apparent in the process is that tertiary colors, which are created by mixing primary colors with neighboring secondary colors, are suitable to form relationships with nearby colors. One color card is linked to the following one – from green to red and further in the sequence. Each color is a blend of many, in succession with another color their features unfold. There is a reference point for each shade: gold, blonde, olive made from iron oxide red and green earth or Bad Conscience from the Adler Lacke color palette.
